Presidential Debate 2: Electric Boogaloo
The second debate is tonight. I’m watching as we speak, actually. Maybe if I’m not too tired I’ll post my thoughts when it’s done.
In the meanwhile, I’ve noticed that my blog sucks much more than the links off to your right. I’m trying my best here, really, but I’m an exhausted old man.*

What a Crock
I’m appalled at Senator Obama over the fact that he has voted to pass the Telecom Retroactive Immunity Bill (not its official name, but I don’t know what else to call it).
So much for change. What a crock of shit. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
The Republican and Democratic Parties need to be thrown out on their asses. I’m tired of this trite song-and-dance routine, pandering to the masses, saying one thing and outright doing something completely opposite. I’m so mad and disappointed that I can’t even formulate a coherent response.
Goddammit.
EDIT: After doing some research, it seems Obama voted in favor of an amendment to the bill that would eliminate the telecom immunity, but that amendment was voted down. Furthermore, it seems President Bush threatened to veto the entire FISA bill and other bills if the telecom immunity was not included.
Regardless of those facts, I’m still disappointed that the Democrat-run Congress I voted for back in 2006 is comprised of a bunch of panderers and pussies who can’t even band together to overturn a veto.
I’m so disillusioned and disenchanted, I’m considering voting for Cookie Monster in November. Fuck.
